Armenia bets on foreign direct investment in sustainable tourism

Enterprise Armenia’s CEO, Gohar Abajyan, together with the Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, Anushik Avetyan, welcomed Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, the newly elected Secretary-General of UN Tourism and Dr. Nariman Al Mulla, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia.

The discussions reinforced Armenia’s growing role on the global tourism map, highlighting opportunities to expand international cooperation, attract investment, and position tourism as a key driver of sustainable economic development.

At the center of the dialogue was the shared commitment to strengthening Armenia’s competitiveness as a destination through innovation, digitalization, and smart tourism solutions. Enterprise Armenia and UN Tourism explored avenues for collaboration that will bring new investment flows into Armenia’s tourism ecosystem, supporting growth that is inclusive, sustainable, and internationally connected.
