Armenia-UAE Business Forum Paves the Way for Economic Growth and Collaboration

With the efforts of Enterprise Armenia, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Armenia and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Armenia-UAE business forum launched on September 18, 2023.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Vahan Kerobyan, the RA Minister of Economy, H.E. Mrs Nariman Mohammed Sharif AlMulla, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan, the RA Deputy Foreign Minister, H.E. Abdullah AlMazroui, Head of the UAE delegation, President of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Levon Ohanesyan, CEO at Enterprise Armenia.

The latter stressed in his speech that the face-to-face meetings contribute to strengthening the trade, economic and investment ties between Armenia and the UAE. Levon Ohanesyan also addressed the areas of bilateral interest and the incentives for doing business in Armenia.

Within the framework of the forum, memoranda of understanding were signed between Enterprise Armenia and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, between the RA Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, between the Armenian Young Women's Association and the Dubai Business Women Council.

During the event, the investment attractiveness and business opportunities of Armenia were presented to the participants, as well as the success stories of companies operating in Armenia with Emirati capital.

Afterwards, the investment B2B session was held, during which the investment projects of Armenian companies were introduced to the UAE investors. The session was followed by B2B meetings on export and trade, in the course of which, major organizations of the UAE, as well as Armenian exporters and importers, were presented.
