According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the volume of IT sector services reached AMD 142.2 billion in January–March 2025, marking a 24.5% growth compared to the same period of the previous year. This figure significantly exceeds the average growth rate of the overall services sector, which stood at 11.5%.

The sector’s dynamic development is also reflected in the fact that the information and communication sector recorded a real growth of 18% in the first quarter of 2025, ranking as the second-highest growth rate among service sectors—second only to the financial sector, which posted a 20.1% increase.

For comparison, the IT sector’s AMD 142.2 billion output in this period surpasses the figures of several other important sectors, such as:

  • Accommodation and food service activities – AMD 74 billion
  • Healthcare – AMD 40.7 billion
  • Transportation – AMD 76.3 billion
  • Education – AMD 23.3 billion

This robust growth in Armenia’s IT sector enhances the country’s profile as a competitive and high-potential destination for tech-driven investments. It signals a stable, rapidly expanding digital economy that offers attractive opportunities for both local and international investors.
