Armenia aspires to become a regional AI data hub

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held discussions regarding the establishment of a major artificial intelligence data center in Armenia with Razmik Hovaghimian, Co-founder and CEO of Firebird, Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of NVIDIA, and Aleksandr Yesayan, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Team Telecom Armenia. The meeting was also attended by Gohar Abajyan, CEO of Enterprise Armenia.

 

During the discussion, the main directions of an investment project valued at approximately USD 500 million were presented. The project aims to establish a highly efficient and scalable data infrastructure in Armenia, enabling the deployment of thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and creating a technological environment with over 100 megawatts of capacity.

 

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the strategic importance of the project, viewing it as a new stage in Armenia’s technological advancement and the development of its innovation potential. He reaffirmed the Government of Armenia’s full support for the implementation of such initiatives.
