Enterprise Armenia is participating in the EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum
Enterprise Armenia, within the delegation led by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, is participating in the EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum (Annual Meeting) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. At the Armenia’s national stand the team of Enterprise Armenia presents to the visitors Armenia’s business environment, attractive sectors of the economy and one-stop shop services provided to investors.
This year the Annual Meeting featured Armenia’s Investment Outlook Session. The session was attended by a distinguished panel of experts from public are private sectors of Armenia, who shared insights regarding Armenia's investment climate and business opportunities.
The session kicked off with opening remarks by the moderator of the session, Mr. George Akhalkatsi, Associate Director, Head of EBRD Armenia, followed by country presentation by the Investment Director of Enterprise Armenia Mr. Aram Vardanyan, who provided an overview of the investment climate and highlighted the country's favorable business environment, regulatory reforms and investment incentives designed to attract investors.
Following the presentation, panel discussion with the participation of Mr. Tigran Avinyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Mr. Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of the High-Tech Industry, Mr. Arman Khojoyan, Deputy Minister of Economy, Mr. Levon Ohanesyan, General Director of Enterprise Armenia and Mr. Hayk Voskanyan, CEO of Inecobank, took place. The panelists shared insights and details regarding their respective areas of competence. The session concluded with a Q&A session, providing attendees with an opportunity to seek further clarification and engage in the discussions.
Outlook session was concluded with a ceremony of signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Minister of Finance Mr. Vahe Hovhannisyan and Mr.Kazuhiko Koguci, the Secretary General of the EBRD. The MOU specifically stated that the next EBRD Annual Meeting & Business Forum will be held in Yerevan, Armenia in May 2024.
This is truly significant achievement for Armenia, to host such prestigious event, which will attract a wide range of participants, including Governments, international financial institutions, banks, investors, business leaders and experts from around the world.
